At Masterly The Hague, work by contemporary designers appears alongside

classical art. BIEN moves was selected as designer for the edition of 2021.

The Old Masters across four days at five magnificent historical locations. A superb combination of talent, inspiration and expertise. The theme was the Dutch landscape. 

Together with Hans Withoos 

BIEN was inspired by Mathias Withoos 1627 - 1703, a Dutch painter of still lifes and city scenes. He was best known for the way he painted the forest floor landscape, a so called “sottobosco”, with thistles, flowers, animals and undergrowth in the foreground.

Showing, just like BIEN, life can be tough and tender.

Together with contemporary artist Hans Withoos we made our interpretation of the original art of Mathias Withoos .

Hans Withoos is a visual artist and photographer who interpretated the work of the Withoos family in a new way. With his work Fight for Possibilities, Hans Withoos, 2021

He showed at the “Another light on Withoos” exhibition, about 3 generations of Withoos, at Museum Flehite, Amersfoort.
